For registration – take your passport or identity card, contract beetwen you and the apartament owner (if you rent a private flat) and the completed registration form with stamps and signature of administrator of the hostel (if you have accommadation in the student hostel). 2. At the time of registration the PESEL number will be given. It is the identification number in Poland and many Polish institutions require it.

The whole registration procedure in the City Hall takes about 20 min.
