Welcome to a friendly space where foreign students and guests can receive all necessary help in facing numerous problems related to living in Poland, Gdańsk and starting their studies at our University.

The main purpose of the Welcome Point at the MUG is to manage an information and counseling centre which helps with the issues of residency, visa and many others parallel matters which the foreigners may find troubling. It also actively cooperates with the academic community in terms of integration of our new incoming students. Furthermore, it also takes up intiatives which aim at improving the language and intercultural competences of employees and thereby, the quality of support received by both international students and employees. This essential unit was established within the structures of the Department of Internationalization which coordinates a Welcome Point support project, drawing from the practices and experiences of foreign partner universities and organizing specialized courses. One of Welcome Point’s operational priorities is the help the students from abroad in settling in Poland, which often differs radically from their country of origin, especially in terms of culture. Hence, the organization of mutually benficial integration events for both Polish and international students.Welcome Point supports student initiatives which aid our Univer-sity in establishing strong relations with the candidates, students and finally, alumni.
