STUDENTS FROM EU COUNTRIES – REGISTERING THE RESIDENCE
If you are an EU citizen you can enter Poland on the basis of your ID document (or other valid document certifying your identity and citizenship). For stays exceeding 3 months you are obliged to Register the Residence in Pomeranian Voivodship Office in Gdańsk. It is free of charge.
Documents required to register residence:
• 1 filled Applications for Registering the Residence
• 1 copy of passport (or other valid document certifying your identity and citizenship)
• 1 copy of a permanent or temporary residence permit (if the applicant is subject to a registration duty)
• certification of enrolment for studies / course issued by the University
• health insurance document
• declaration about sufficient resources to cover the cost of living in Poland.
STUDENTS FROM NON-EU COUNTRIES
If you come from a non-EU country you can enter the territory of Poland on the basis of a valid passport and a visa (if required).
For stays exceeding 3 months or before Polish visa expires you are obliged to personally apply for a temporary residence permit in Pomeranian Voivodeship Office in Gdańsk.
Documents required to apply for a Temporary Residence Permit:
• 1 filled Applications for Residence Permit for temporary residence
• 4 photographs Requirements
• 1 copy of passport
• 1 copy of visa
• certification of enrolment for studies / course issued by the University
• confirmation of payment for tuition fee for studies / course
• health insurance document
• declaration about sufficient resources to cover the cost of living in Poland declaration regarding housing costs
• confirmation of payment for revenue fee

If you have an appointment, please arrive at the Office no earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
If you arrive without a reservation and collect a ticket, remember that customer service is not limited to morning hours. You can collect a ticket, for example, to complete documentation or obtain information, at any time during customer service hours.
Currently, due to the high volume of applications submitted, the expected processing time is approximately three months. To avoid concerns about the length of the application processing time, submit your application at least one month in advance.
You can submit your application at the office in room 0.7. Submitting your application in room 0.7 does not require collecting a number.

An appointment to collect your residence card must be made via online booking.

Upon arrival at the Office, please approach the ticket machine in the queuing system. On the ticket machine screen, select the desired language, then select “From online booking,” and enter the PIN generated for your reservation (the PIN will be included in the reply message sent to the email address provided during the appointment registration process).
Please retain the generated ticket and wait to be directed to the appropriate workstation.
The scheduled appointment time is approximate. The start of service may change slightly depending on the previous client’s service completion.
Arriving after the scheduled appointment time (taking into account point 2 of this instruction) and failing to generate a ticket will result in automatic cancellation of your reservation. This means that you will not be able to collect a ticket after the scheduled appointment time.
