Cinematic is a program created to familiarize international students with Polish cinematography and to engage them to participate in the events organized by the library of the University of Gdańsk. The aim of the series is to present the most acclaimed Polish movies both classics and the most respected pieces of the 21st century.
Besides the showing of the movies, students will have a chance to exchange their opinion and take part in a discussion moderated by the employees of the Film and Media Institution. They can ask questions and learn the specifics of the Polish cinema, the language used in movies, Polish history and society.
The showings will take place every month (second to last Thursday of each months) throughout the academic year at 6pm. The The program until the end of this calendar year includes:

*all film screenings with English subtitles, preceded by a lecture by UG film scholars, discussion scheduled after the screening, free admission.
