Fat Thursday

We’d like to invite you to eat some donoughts and celebrate Fat Thursday with Welcome Point! This day, known in Poland as ‘Tłusty czwartek’ is celebrated once a year, on the last Thursday before Ash Wednesday and marks the beginning of Lent. A typical pączek is filled with rose jam, chocolate, raspberry jam or custard and can be covered with icing, sugar or almonds. They say that you will have bad luck for an entire year if you don’t eat at least one pączek on this day! So make sure you have plenty of luck this year and celebrate the last day of carnival with us!
