Kaleidoscope Culture Festival 2025

22.10.2025

The Kaleidoscope Culture Festival, the Annual Congress and ABC courses brought together students, staff, and external partners from nine universities in the Ace2eu Alliance.

Ingolstadt is hosting an event full of color, conversations and inspirations. Discussions about current activities and plans for the coming years are combined with exploring the cultures and energies of nations from across Europe and beyond.

Art, traditions and intercultural dialogue, creative workshops, live music and film screenings about identity – you’ll find all this between 22nd – 24th of October during the Kaleidoscope Festival. Ingolstadt has become a place where we celebrate diversity.

The Medical University of Gdańsk representation is at the festival. Check out our photo gallery to feel a glimpse of the atmosphere!

ACE2-EU is an alliance of nine universities working together to develop innovative solutions in education, research and society. It is a space for mutual support, sharing experiences and addressing common challenges. Together with Izabela Kowalczyk-Dec from the Development Office of the Medical University of Gdańsk, I have the pleasure and honour of coordinating at our University the activities of Work Package 4, implemented as part of the “Space Center.” This initiative supports collaboration with external stakeholders, strengthens inclusiveness and fosters a shared European identity through cultural exchange. The Center’s activities focus on implementing socially oriented solutions in areas such as well-being, inclusivity, multiculturalism, respect and gender equality. Another key aim is to build a shared cultural platform that enables the exchange of diverse cultural experiences and expertise among the partners of the ACE2-EU European Universities Alliance. The coordinator of our work package is Prof. Ieva Zemīte from the Latvian Academy of Culture in Riga (https://www.ace2eu.eu/space-center) One of the tasks within this package is the annual co-organization of the Kaleidoscope Culture Festival (https://www.ace2eu.eu/kaleidoscope-culture-festival-2025/) vibrant celebration of cultural diversity, creativity and collaboration across our Alliance. The festival brings together students, staff and partners from all Member Universities, showcasing performances, exhibitions, interactive activities and intercultural experiences. This year’s edition took place at the end of October at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt in Bavaria and highlighted the richness of our Alliance community. Our students once again had the opportunity to connect with peers from across Europe, while all of us celebrated our shared values through culture and creativity. Within WP4, we also implement several other initiatives: • a volunteering programme, enabling students to contribute to positive social change and develop broad cultural competencies; • a cultural internship programme for staff, designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to create an inclusive and culturally rich academic environment; • a social impact programme, focusing on values such as inclusion, multiculturalism, social well-being, dignity, respect and gender equality; • a series of knowledge-building team workshops for students and educators; • and a change ambassadors programme, empowering students and staff to become drivers of social transformation. Kaleidoscope of Cultures Festival at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt 22–24 October 2025 A vibrant Kaleidoscope of Cultures Festival took place in Ingolstadt, bringing together students from many European countries. This unique event allowed participants to explore cultural diversity and learn from one another. Throughout the festival, attendees took part in creative workshops—designing postcards and T-shirts inspired by Polish motifs, creating art from recycled materials, viewing traditional costumes from various European regions, discovering art and traditions from across the continent and beyond, and discussing stereotypes. The entire event was filled with music, dance, and the joy of celebrating a shared European identity. The festival was part of the ACE²-EU project, which connects universities across Europe. Alongside the host institution in Ingolstadt, universities from Austria, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Romania, North Macedonia, Spain, and our own took part in the event. Our university was represented by an 11-member group of students from Poland, India, and Nigeria. They showcased the cultural richness of our academic community and promoted the Gdańsk and Kashubia region, as well as their home countries. Through presentations, workshops, and dance, they successfully integrated with other participants and formed many new connections. The Kaleidoscope of Cultures Festival proved that diversity brings people together and that shared experiences can help build a truly European community. Marzena Kołtoniak

The festival had a wonderful atmosphere, and everyone was in great spirits. The concerts and attractions were truly interesting, and the organization was flawless. What we will remember most is the positive energy and the time we spent together with students from other countries. We would be happy to return next year!Alina

Taking part in the festival was a fantastic intercultural experience for us! We met students from various parts of Europe, and through workshops and performances we were able to share our cultures, traditions, flavours, music and national dances. Along the way, we formed friendships that will surely stay with us for a long time. It was a time full of inspiring conversations and meaningful encounters, all accompanied by an abundance of positive energy! Beata
