We would like to invite you to the next meeting of MOVIE BREAK – an intercultural film club where we watch films together and discuss them in an open, multicultural atmosphere. The initiative is addressed to the entire academic community, with a special focus on international guests.
📅 24 February 2026 (Tuesday) ⏰ 6:30–9:00 PM 📍 Faculty of Philology and History, Lecture Hall 1.43
This time we will screen Mystery Train (1989), directed by Jim Jarmusch – a cult classic of American independent cinema, awarded the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. The film tells three interwoven stories set in Memphis, a city that symbolically brings different cultures together.
🎬 The film will be screened with Polish subtitles. 💬 The post-screening discussion will be held in English.
Free admission – everyone is warmly welcome!
